Contrary to what Maharaji and his organisation, "Elan Vital" say, Maharaji does meddle in the personal lives of his devotees and dictates what they should do in their personal lives. He has often forbidden that his devotees should get married and has also ordered his devotees to end relationships with their girlfriends/boyfriends so that they can serve only him.

The example below of how Maharaji forbade Charnanand to get married is just one illustration of Maharaji's ruthless and uncaring attitude to his devotees and his insistence that they don't have any personal relationships.

He (Charnanand) gave me knowledge. There was a thread few weeks about him, he apperantly is still around, wanted to marry, but Maharaji said no because it did not suit him. I just can not believe he is still with Maharaji, unless he wants it that way, because he has not got anywhere else to turn to. Like you said it is sad.

Gurucharanand wanted to marry and Lardy (Maharaji) wouldn't let him. That really sucks. He was, as he was fond of saying, just a 'poor simple boi (rhymes with 'moi')' when Lardy saved him and told him the meaning of his life (Lardy). Think what he must have gone through, to come to the point of wanting to marry. A very kind soul.

So who the hell is Lardy to tell anyone whether or not they can marry? What kind of 'teacher' is that? What kind of old Hindu shit does that smack of? Thought all that stuff was just remnants from India and the 70's. I think this is a pretty hot question to Elan Vital. Not that they are available to answer questions. But I bet Maharaji thinks he can get away with this kind of shit with highly programmed Indian devotees and that the likes of us will never find out.
