| Maharaji's ashrams were houses over which he
exercised complete control. The devotees who lived in
them gave all of their wages (from working in normal
jobs) over to Maharaji's organisation and lived,
themselves, in poverty and under strict discipline. Sex
and relationships of any kind were forbidden. Contact
between the sexes was ruled out by having male only and
female only ashrams. All devotees were told to move into
ashrams. These inhuman places of mental, emotional and also physical suffering are a clear indication of the vice-like grip that Maharaji's brainwashing techniques had people in. Money from the ashrams was sent to Maharaji to enhance his luxurious lifestyle. What better indication could one have of Maharaji's callous nature? The following index, below, is of Forum posts which are written from direct experience of having lived in Maharaji's ashrams. |
